PTO Minutes, Meeting:
Tues., April 3, 2007

Attendees: Sharon McDonnell, Eric Thomas, Kate Dusel, Amy Nicodemus, Erin Batchelor, Amy Mitchell, Paula Morris, Marcy Pillsbury.

Principal’s Remarks:
• Report cards were sent home Monday.
• 8th grade had a meeting with principal of Rogers, Patti DiCenso, to discuss transition to Rogers.

Treasurer’s Report:
• We made $225 from working at the St. Patrick’s Day Hibernian Hall celebration.

Dance- The March 16th dance that was cancelled due to weather conditions has been rescheduled for Friday, April 27th. Room is reserved and DJ is booked. Elizabeth Gibbs will have her dance coordinator send out an email seeking volunteers.

Pizza Taste Test & Silent Auction- Scheduled for Thursday, May 17th from 5:30-7pm. We went over list and assigned duties. Businesses were listed in a spreadsheet by location and Sharon, Paula, Amy Nicodemus, Kate, and Amy Mitchell each took a designated area. Marcy volunteered to get soda and obtain pizza donations and coordinate the pizza pick-up. Amy will do all the signs. Eric will ask for parent volunteers to solicit auction items though the list serve.

Box Tops- Paula followed up on the $255 missing check; it was sent to the wrong address and was returned. They will reissue and are working to change their computer records to reflect our correct address.

Positively Newport Website: Marcy was contacted by Jennifer Quigley Harris seeking content information for website. Eric felt that the website should be primarily PTO information with a link to the TMS website for other school information. Sharon agreed to start to get information to Jennifer to set it up.

Teacher Grants:
• Thank you letter from PE dept and 6th grade also thanked PTO for their donation.

Other New Business:
• None
